Welcome to Grisedale Cottages
All three of our cottages are in Cumbria, although strictly speaking two of them are on the Yorkshire/Cumbrian border and sit within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Here are some important geographical details to help you place them.
Rose Bank Cottage is in the village of Coniston in the Lake District, close to and overlooking Coniston Water and Grizedale Forest. It is in the heart of Lakeland and is set on a bank above the village so that it has amazing views. This cottage can be booked through Coppermines Cottages.
Chapel House and Beck House are in the dispersed hamlet of Grisedale ( not to be confused with Grizedale, Lakeland) set in a secluded valley at the top of Wensleydale/Garsdale in the Yorkshire Dales, but within the boundary of Cumbria. Situated in a rural position in the heart of the Garsdale Valley, Chapel House was formerly the local Methodist Chapel, converted in the 1970s and recently refurbished in 2010 to provide modern, comfortable holiday accommodation. Beck House was converted from a barn in the mid-1980s and has been refurbished completely in 2014, retaining many interesting features of the building with an open design and cosy feeling.
Chapel House can be booked through Cottages.com, Ref CC218042, click here. Beck House can be booked through Cottages.com, Ref CC218134. To see the full property details on their website click here.
Pets are welcome at Chapel House only, but we request no more than two and that they be strictly controlled at Grisedale due to the close proximity of farm animals.
