Chapel House is located in a very attractive setting of open pastures and meadows above the meandering river of the valley floor. It has recently been completely renovated to a very high standard.
Downstairs the property is entered through a large porch suitable for boots and coats. The raised lounge area is part of an attractive open plan ground floor and houses a cast iron multi-fuel stove, comfy seating, a colour TV and DVD, CD player and a payphone. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with micro-wave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and electric cooker. There is a separate double bedroom and bathroom, with bath, shower, wash basin and w.c. on the ground floor. Additional heating is provided by storage heaters.
Upstairs has a further double bedroom (or twin single beds if you wish) and a shower room with wash basin and w.c., ideal for families and couples sharing. In addition there is an open mezzanine area, which looks down on the main living space below and adds to the airy feel of the cottage.
Outside there is private parking beside the house for one car, and an additional space on the car parking area opposite. There is an extensive garden with shrubs and trees, and a glazed summer house adjacent to a brick patio, stone seat and stone built bar-be-que. It has a utility room (shared with Beck House) with sink, washing machine, tumble dryer and coal store for fuel.
Due to the location of the property, Chapel House is particularly suited to the outdoor enthusiast with an abundance of walking, hiking and bird watching direct from the door. Sheep roam freely from outside the grounds of the cottage and the bird life is exceptional.
